US midterm elections: Can Bolivia’s women inspire change in Congress?


Girls weren’t allowed to vote till 1920, and for black girls, that proper wasn’t totally realised till the Nineteen Sixties, when civil rights laws struck down some states’ discriminatory voting legal guidelines. Even those that have been elected confronted sexist guidelines – till 1993, girls could not put on trousers on the ground of the US Senate.
