The farmers are impressed by the massive income made by plantation homeowners like Narayana Rao. Mr Rao, who’s from the neighbouring Andhra Pradesh state, started cultivating oil palm eight years in the past on his 30-acre (12.14-hectare) area in Khammam and says he has made a revenue of greater than 4m rupees ($48,705; £43,802).
