‘I saved for 30 years to see the Titanic’

For 110 years, the Titanic has sat on the backside of the North Atlantic, and seen solely by a handful of researchers and explorers.

Since she was a toddler, Renata Rojas has longed to see the wreck of the well-known ocean liner which sank on its maiden voyage in 1912.

Nevertheless, some travellers at the moment are paying as much as $250,000 to see it.

For the primary time, the BBC follows a few of these “citizen scientists” who’ve paid for one of many scheduled dives by American firm Oceangate.
